Tips for how to work at home

Most of the world is still on lockdown due to COVID 19, a lot of people need to stay at home.  Here in Canada, not everybody is back to work.  People who work for the government are still working from home, movies are not open and in Malls, stores that have a door to lead outside are open but others in the mall are still not open, all because of coronavirus.

To work from home you’ll need to change some of your habits and routines to make your new working from home a success. This work will become a passive income for you over the years. Yes people I’m from Canada but every search I make is for any county in the world.  World Wide Web like people say.

Here are some tips for leading a better and more productive remote working life, based on my experience and what I’ve learned from others.

how to work at home

1 – Maintain Regular Hours

Set a schedule and try to stick to it, often if you don’t have clear guidelines for when to work and when to take a break, it can get give you bad surprises on being less productive, and only you will suffer from that.   Many people take bad habits and work when they feel like it.  In this business you need consistency and if you stick to a schedule it has benefits for productivity and creativity also.

You will have to find what is the best time for you because I’m a better writer at night time and some are in the daytime. Whether you are a night or daytime person, make a schedule that will be the best for you.

What I do when I wake up, I take a good coffee and start to write. I put at least 3 to 4 hours into my work and for me, I’m more productive especially at that time,  after I take a lunch break.

 2 –  Create a Morning Routine

Sometimes it happens that I don’t feel like writing, I have nothing good to say this morning.  Well, when this time shows up I steal keep my morning routine the same (night for me). I do myself a big coffee,  work on my website, and try to make it a better way.

Sometimes it gives me the inspiration that I needed to write something and there you go I’m on the writing time again.  A routine can be more powerful than a clock at helping you get started each day.

Sometimes it is said that going out of the house take your lunch break outside, in a resto, or even just outside on the picnic table it will give you the energy you need to go back on working another four (4) or five (5) hours more on your business from home. That of courses with break in-between hours.

6 – Be Positive

When you work from home, often you’ll be alone and it can become boring but you will need to be positive in your writing.  Write as you talk to somebody with enthusiasm and exclamation because you will want your readers to think positively about what you do and what you write.  Don’t forget within the time this work that you do will become a Passive Income over the months to come.

7 – Take sick days

When you’re not well, even if you working from home, take a sick day.  Sometimes not taking the time off can be like throwing away money…. Keep in mind that sometimes it’s best to rest and get better so that you can be your most productive self in the long term.
