How to make money from YouTube without making videos?

Did you know you can make money with Youtube without making your video?  Making a video without showing you face? Well, I learn to do it and in this post, I’m going to let you know how to do it?

Youtube is a very good way to make a good income and achieve financial freedom.  There is a lot of ways out there to achieve financial freedom online, but for me, Youtube is one of the best ways to go.

Like all other technical online on makings a passive income on Youtube, it’s not an easy task, you will need to work a lot for it and especially at the beginning.  When everything will be set up, it will become with time a passive income and you won’t have to work as hard as the beginning after set up.

Can you make money posting video on YouTube?

You will need to choose a niche (funny clips, dog, gaming, top10 scary, top10 music…etc.) and post them consistently on your Youtube account.  Compilation videos are very popular on Youtube people like to look at compilation videos, and they get a lot of views.  You will need to be consistent, choose a good content and ad video at least three (3) times a week, you’ll be discovered and stat to make some good money.

You’ll be making money on Youtube from ads that are being displayed on your video compilation. In fact, when you’ll reach a certain point you can source out all the work and invest your time starting another project.

Why this method to make money on YouTube is good?

Starting a personal YouTube account today is extremely difficult because no one knows you and doesn’t relate to you.  Making compilation videos is easy and doesn’t demand a high editing skill plus you’ll be posting content that you know people like to watch and has a big audience (almost everyone watches those top 10 compilation of, hunted, funny clips videos on Youtube).  This means that you’re guaranteed to get wise and to get discovered if you apply the exact steps that I’ll be listing down below.

Steps to make money from Youtube without making videos

Now, before I explain the steps, I make a lot of research on this one!

I want to know that this work will need consistency, hard work from you in the beginning.  You’re not going to get rich quickly but if you apply the exact steps of this method you’ll start to make money from Youtube passively in no time.

  • Find a Niche:

You need to choose a Niche that has a community of fans around it.  By choosing a specific niche you’ll engage your audience that will watch all of your videos every week.  There are a lot of niches that you can choose but one or two I know that are very popular are:

  • Funny clips (everybody on youtube look at those videos)
  • Instagram clips (find clips that went viral on Instagram this guaranteed to get a decent amount of views on Youtube)
  • Music (compilation-some great success together, motivation music videos” they have a lot of views on Youtube”)
  • Gaming (this one has a huge audience and finding clips is easy, go to twitch and you’ll find an endless amount of clips)
  • Funniest pet (this is a good one but the audience is not as big has the other)

Because you gather content and clips to make your videos, you will need to search for clips on youtube with a CC license and make your content from those clips.

What is CC?

CC means, Creative Commons on YouTube (CC) license is one of several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of a copyrighted work.  A CC license is used when an author wants to give other people the right to share, use, and build upon a work that he (that author) has created. It is very important that you take those videos on Youtube that has the CC license so you can after published them on your YouTube account.

Where to find those videos with CC licenses?

After the choice of your niche, go on Youtube, and search for relevant terms or topics that you want to post about.

  • Click on FILTER
  • Under FEATURES
  • Select CREATIVE COMMONS

It will show videos that are published under CC license.  This means that you can use any of the videos that are being shown on that page.

Here I search just funny videos, and it gave me a list of videos that I can choose.  I suggest do not take a video and just post it as it is… It’s better if you edit a video and make it your own by adding intro and your YouTube channel’s name. (example top 10 of, the best compilation of fall or top10 funniest dance)

It is recommended to put your channel name on Youtube compilation, in the intro or the outro of a video so you’ll get the viewers to subscribe.  Create your own compilation from them and add your own intro and outro, or you’ll be promoting other channels not your own…

You will have to install a video editing, you’ll need to get intro and outro template.  You can search on youtube for a free intro/outro template or you can go to  Rendrforest, and get one from there.

Edit and Create your own videos!

Now, you have downloaded the CC license video to create your own videos you need a video editing software and since you’re only going to be doing some cut and paste clips, you’re not creating effects or doing some complicated edits.  No need to pay for a video editing software, use a free one. Here are some free software

Edit your video

  1. Start with a 20 to 30 seconds clip video (to get the attention right away from the beginning)
  2. Add your intro and add your video compilation (at least 10 to 15 minutes compilation, or more)
  3. Add some suggested video for your viewers to see (can be added within the outro)
  4. Add your outro.
  5. Add like and subscribe

When starting your video with a great clip you’ll get the attention right away from the beginning. Your viewers need to see right from the beginning that you’ll have a great compilation of video and have them register on the first one post on Youtube. It’s recommended to add suggestions for other videos to view before, or within your outro, for your viewers to watch.

It is recommended to prepare at least 25 to 30 videos and set them aside, to be ready to upload consistently and don’t fall behind your schedule. If you want to grow your channel and keep your followers every week it is better to be in advance than being behind work.

Set up your Youtube channel. You can use your personal account or create a new one.  It’s important that your profile is cover and pictures for your account.  Write the about section of your Youtube channel and you need to tell people what to expect from your channel.

Start Posting your video

When everything is taking care of, like your Youtube profile, your videos made in advance, it’s time to start posting your video online.

At the start, you can start by posting 2 videos per day. You have to post a lot at the start so you get more chances to get discovered by people and once you start getting some views you lower that number to once a day. Be patient it takes time to get a lot of views, keep on posting, and sharing your video on social media and you’ll start to have viewers.

Good Title and Thumbnail

Thumbnail is extremely important because YouTube is a visual platform and people most of the time choose a video based on the thumbnail so take your time and don’t rush this step. Use Canva to create great thumbnails and use similar titles to the ones that you used to search for content.

Now it’s time to upload your videos on your channel.  Try to upload them always at the same time of the day so you’ll get a routine and you won’t forget to upload them and your viewers will be used to have them at the same hours.

Make Money with Youtube Without Making Videos

My recommendation is that you stay consistent and post 2 videos 3 times a week.

  • Ex.: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Some viewers are very consistent and will look at your account if your news videos are upload. So this is the importance of staying consistent and it’s a good way to succeed.   Be organized and have some videos done in advance.

  1. Wow! That is so interesting (and creative). Perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to be a YouTube video star but doesn’t mind being persistent building views over time (which must be a lot of people).

I do occasionally find myself watching hilarious incidents with dogs on videos so can see the potential.

    Many thanks,

    Jean

    1. Hello Jean, Yes this is a good opportunity for people who don’t like to be on camera but still can make money with video and Youtube is one of the great platforms to do it. Thank you for your comment

  2. Lyne,

This is a great idea! I know a lot of people that don’t want to be on YouTube. Personally, I don’t mind being on camera. I’ve posted a lot of YouTube videos and my face is pretty much the only thing you see. At first, it was really hard to be on camera, but after a while, I stopped caring. πŸ™‚

I do love that you’ve shared this information with people that don’t want to be on camera though. That would be my kids. They started their own channels for game play, and they hate being on camera. I’ll have to look and see if there’s any CC videos for the game play they post, but I kind of doubt other kids even know this exists on YouTube.

Thanks for sharing this information though!! Love it!

  3. Lyne, I have to tell you, this is an extremely informative post. Thank you so much for sharing this information. On the one hand you really make it sound easy. On the other hand, I know it is not. It does take time and a lot of it especially at first I can imagine. But I also think once one gets the hang on the process it must get a lot easier.
I had NO idea about how to find CC videos that I can use. Yet I have wondered how others have been using video from elsewhere that I knew was not their own. This explains it. I sort of feel late to the party here.
I’m so excited to go check out CC videos!!

    Thanks again!! Great job!

    1. Hi Teresa, I’m happy if I could help you with this YouTube video, I make a lot of research for this one and I can assure you that it’s a lot of work in the beginning because you have to get a least 25 videos in advance to make sure that the viewers you’ll gain will be on time to go on view your channel.

It’s the best way to keep your audience is to be consistent and on time for posting your CCvideos
      Thank you for your comment,

    1. Hi Matt, It’s a good idea to do CC videos on Youtube, it can help your website get more viewers at the same time you’ll be making money with both. But I know it’s a lot of work, making sure you’re on time for posting your videos. When I recommend been in advance with the video I really think it’s a good idea because your audience will be there to look at them. And to keep your audience it’s important to be consistent.
Thank you for your comment and I’m happy if I could help you with my post

  5. Wow I have heard that you can upload other people’s videos, but I have never seen it that well explained as you did. Thanks. I have been wanting to start a YouTube channel, but I don’t have the time to make videos. Now I have an alternative way to do that. Thanks again.

  6. WOW! I love how you’ve broken the entire process down, step-by-step, and I promise to give it a shot!

I made a personal youtube channel, and I’ve been trying to make some money with it, but honestly, things aren’t going as well for me as I thought they would.

I’ll try your method instead and probably go with the Funny Videos niche. I’m a professional comedian, so it comes naturally to me…

    1. Hi Gorjan, It’s a lot of work for the beginning but if you keep your advance work it is possible to do it and you can make good money out of this one. I know some people who do scary video and it took them quite some time to start making money out of it.
thank you for reading, I appreciated
